James Johnson joined Football Australia in January 2020 on a three-year agreement. James Johnson joined Football Australia in January 2020 on a three-year agreement |
This contract postponement will see Johnson remain in
custody through the FIFA World Cup 2022TM, FIFA Women’s World Cup Australia
& New Zealand 2023TM, AFC Asian Cup 2023TM, and the Paris Olympics in 2024. The
postponement will also allow Johnson to continue to lead the work being assumed
with Football Australia’s 15-year vision personified by the XI Principles for
the future of Australian football, as well as the bold and determined Legacy
’23 plan to leave an everlasting legacy for the sport beyond the global
tournament being held on our shores in a year, the key importance of Football
Australia.
Chris Nikou, Chair of Football Australia, said that the
Board was unanimous in determining to extend Johnson’s agreement and
congratulated him. “James’s tenancy since January 2020 has accorded with a
period of great development and growth and on behalf of our board, I am pleased
to confirm that James will remain in the chair until the end of 2024. We knew
that he was an impractical and collaborative leader who brought a great sympathy
of the game from a global perspective and highly a local one.”
“He has been able to make a huge influence and progress as
the game’s Chief Executive, guiding the organizations out of COVID-19, leading
the fruitful bid to co-host the FIFA Women’s World Cup TM, developing and
applying a new 15-year vision for the sport, finalizing the unbundling of the
expert leagues from Football Australia and supervision a commercial turn-around
of the organizations as we now enter a thrilling and pivotal period for the
sport.”
Chris Nikou said
Given the robust development made under James’s leadership,
it was extremely significant to the Board that we long the contract so that we
can continue the robust route our game has taken under his leadership, Nikou
said. Johnson said

We have taken huge
steps forward as a sport over the last couple of years and I have been
extremely proud of what we have attained. Despite enduring one of its
most challenging periods, our public has shown its resilience and continues to
flourish.
This new management has remained focused and returned
Football Australia to a strong monetary location and date, and has secured more
than $230 million in legacy aid from Federal and State Governments for the
future of Australian football.
The best for Australian football is fast of us, and I am advantaged
and happy to be leading the game into this next stage. In the next 12
months, we will contribute to the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022TM and host the
FIFA Women’s World Cup Australia. and New Zealand 2023TM two of the main generous
events on the planet and an opportunity to influence the world game which we
will not see again in our lifetime.
“I would like to thank the Football Australia Board for the
faith they last to home in me, my Executive team, and staff, as well as the
games’ stakeholders for their provision. I remain committed to bringing
our game earlier together and elevating Australian football to global values to
drive positive football outcomes for peers to come,” Johnson decided. To Know more about France Vs Australia Tickets click here.

France went into the 2002 World Cup as containers
France Football World cup also tired Brazil in the final of
the World Cup 1998, with Zinedine Zidane clutching the headlines amid Ronaldo’s
injury play. In 2002, they were drawn into Group A, alongside Senegal, Denmark,
and Uruguay and their cup defense got off to an awful start. Papa Bouba Diop made
a 1-0 win for Senegal over the containers, before a 0-0 draw with
Uruguay put France in real danger of removal.
Denmark beat them 2-0 in the final rounded of games to knock
out the holders scoreless and winless, the bottom of Group A. It is stimulating
to note that four of the five most recent containers were knocked out in the
group phase. Will Didier Deschamps’s men hurt the same destiny? Only time will
tell.
