David Warner’s poor batting form had not put down the confidence of Finch in David. While David faced a hard time in the United Arab Emirates playing Indian Premier League for Sunrisers Hyderabad. Finch supports his team member David to perform well in T20 World Cup. David was left out by Sunrisers Hyderabad because of his poor batting form. However, Finch said they are confident on right and left combination that has brought good results for them in the past in T20 format. Finch during a short interview said, that our fans can expect me to open the innings with David in the big event.

"I think you would expect to see Davey (David Warner) and I open the batting in the T20 World Cup. It is something that has worked for us for a long time now," Finch said.

Warner was put on top batting order for Sunrisers Hyderabad team of Indian Premier League after Jonny Bairstow was pulled out of IPL. But David was not able to perform well for the team and was replaced by Jason Ray at the top batting order.

While Warner is having a hard time scoring the runs, there is another player of the Australian team Steve Smith who is short of match practice. Steve has only played two matches in the United Arab Emirates leg of the event.

Speaking about Steve Smith, the Australian captain Aaron Finch said that Steve can be used to play the anchor role.

"Smith is the best batsman in the world. I have no doubt he is the best possible option to fulfill the anchor role," Finch added.

Australia will play their opening match in T20 World Cup against South Africa on October 23, in Sheikh Zayed Stadium, Abu Dhabi.
