Australian All-rounder
Mitchell Marsh says that he will play on the number three spot in T20 World Cup
2021. Marsh played at number three in the tour against West Indies and
Bangladesh in absence of cricketers David Warner, Glenn Maxwell, Aaron Finch,
and Steve Smith.

Marsh played
beautiful innings retaining number three. He earned 375 runs in ten matches
which include four fifties. He seems to be in great form as he scored a century
playing for the Western Australia team in the Marsh Cup. He was also playing at
number three in this match.
“If I play
this tournament, I’ll be listed at number three,”. But I think the beauty of our
team is that from three to six or even seven, our team can float and it will
only depend on the game situation and who we think is the best to go next. I
think I will play at the top order. But it is about being adaptable and being
able to float,” said Marsh.
Marsh is
also confident that a strong showing in T20 World Cup can help him get a spot
in the Test Cricket team that will tour Australia to play the Ashes tour
against them. He last played T20 Match in 2019.
"I'd love to play Test cricket
again for Australia at some point," he admitted. "I'm not going to
have a lot of red-ball cricket to put my name up there for selection, but like
many before me, if I can perform in white-ball then you're still in the
selectors' eyes. But first things first is to be part of this World Cup, which
is going to be very exciting."
