The full transcript of Mikel Arteta's pre-match press
conference ahead of the second leg vs Olympiacos
What pleased you about the first leg and what do you want to
improve?
"I was very pleased with the performance in general
apart from the first 10 minutes when we had some issues to control defensively
in the final third in some situations and as well when we gave the ball away in
difficult areas when we could progress our play and become dangerous. Champions

Apart from that, the team played with a lot of personalities
in a very difficult stadium against a good opponent with a great record in
their own stadium. We managed to score and win which is a positive thing too.
Can we have an update on Sead Kolasinac?
"He's seeing a specialist today, we will know more this
afternoon but he was in pain, it was a difficult area and we are not very
positive about it."
Will we see him again this season?
"Hopefully, yes, I don't know whether he's dislocated
it, whether he needs surgery or not - we will know more this afternoon
hopefully."
Does qualifying for the Champions League through the Premier
League influence your Europa League team selections?
"My team selection is based on what I see in training,
the load of the players and what we want to do against the opponent. We have
three different routes into Europe; we have to try and maximize the three of
them and go game by game. This is the only thing we can do at the moment because
the objective is still so far behind."
Is the Premier League a real path for you?
"We need to win a lot of games. We need to put a
consistent run together - we just won two games which is not enough."
How would you assess your first couple of months in charge?
"A lot of things happen in two months in many different
areas of the club. I think the team is progressing well, the club is in a
better place, and we are getting much more unity on the sections of the club
and as well great energy back from the fans every time we play at the Emirates
and away from the Emirates.
"There are a lot of positive things but there are still
things to improve individually, collectively and as a club and we are in that
process at the moment."
Has it been hard for English clubs after the winter break?
"After how condensed the calendar is in December and
January, when you get to February you start to suffer and pay the price.
Normally after the international break in March teams are fresher again to get
back at the end of the season. It's why this league is so demanding and so nice
to play because we have so many games, yeah, physically it's tough."
