Lance Klusener
has named his three favorite Indian players to watch out for this T20 World Cup
2021 happening in the United Arab Emirates. He named Rohit Sharma, Jasprit
Bumrah, and Rishabh Pant among his three to watch out for. Rohit Sharma is one
of the key players of the Indian squad and he is also vice-captain of the
Indian team. He is also the only batsman to score four centuries for India in
the T20 format of cricket.
Klusener said
about the Rohit that is someone who has the potential to leave his significant
impact on ICC major events. In the 2019 ODI World Cup, he was the first batsman
to score five centuries in a single World Cup. Referring to Lance, Rohit can
make a prominent impact.
Lance Klusener
shares his opinions:
Klusener said in an interview with The Times of India.
“Rohit Sharma is always there in the mix. He is always in the fight. He is somebody who stands up big in ICC tournaments,”
Klusener
praised Rishabh Pant that he can take over MS Dhoni in Cricket with precision.
Rishabh played his debut International match in 2017 and he is performing
remarkably in all three formats of cricket.
“Rishabh
Pant as well. India is so so lucky that they have got somebody like Rishabh
Pant who has been able to take over from MS Dhoni. He is fantastic and he’s got
a huge huge future in the team,” he stated.
Rishabh
was a little inconsistent to start with, but once he started playing, there is
nobody who can stop him. Pant is also skipper of Delhi Capital in the Indian
Premier League.
Lance Klusener lauded Bumrah for being an excellent bowler and have the potential to earn success in every condition. Bumrah also plays for the Mumbai Indians team in IPL.
“In the bowling attack, Bumrah is always there. He is always a handful on any surface. There’s so much ammunition that India has got to choose from,” Klusener added.
India
will start their campaign in the World Cup on Sunday, October 24 against Pakistan at the Dubai International
Cricket Stadium. India hasn’t been able to win an ICC tournament since 2013.
